Get to Know the 2022 Chevy Equinox

The 2022 Equinox is the third generation of Chevrolet’s compact crossover SUV. Strong and spacious, it has a payload of over 1,110 pounds and over 63 cubic feet of cargo space with the rear seats folded down. And its 1.5l turbo inline-four gas engine achieves great fuel economy, with 26mpg on city roads and 31mpg on the highway. 

New in 2022

2022 saw a significant refresh of the Equinox. Redesigns of the front grille, headlights, taillamps, front and rear fascia, and bumper make it look bolder and more distinctive. It’s now also possible to choose Seaglass Blue Metallic, Blue Glow Metallic, Iron Gray Metallic, and Cherry Red tint coat, bringing the total number of exterior color options up to eight.

Tailored Trims

With the deletion of the L trim, the Equinox now offers four primary trim levels with the LS as the base model, followed by the LT. New sports model RS comes next, with its gloss black grille, Jet Black interior with red stitching, and blacked-out trim giving it a sleeker, slightly sinister style. And the top-level Premier trim offers the most luxurious and user-friendly drive with a wide range of features.

Upgraded Safety

The Chevrolet safety assist package now comes as standard. Among the systems that benefit all Equinox drivers are:

The Premier trim also has an adaptive cruise control system available.

Intuitive Infotainment

Upgrades to the infotainment systems mean that the 2022 Equinox has a 7-inch touchscreen on the first three trim levels, with the Premier boasting an 8-inch screen. Built-in navigation is standard on the LT trim and above, with a wireless hotspot available.

There’s effortless smartphone integration with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. You also have the option of incorporating Amazon services and can organize deliveries straight to your car with Amazon Key. And with Alexa combining your house and car, you can stream your music while driving, and switch on the ignition before you leave the house.
