Dropped Buick off at 12:30 for a 1:00 oil change with the agreement from the service employee that we could pick up in by 4 pm. He said he would call if any problems came up and when it was ready for pick up. At 4:15 pm I had not received a call yet so I attempted to reach the Ewald Chevy service department by phone several times but the calls were never picked up. I eventually drove to dealership and asked the cashier if she had our paperwork. She did, I paid and drove home. In our experience the service department is a black hole of information. It is impossible to call and contact them after a car is dropped off. In the past the few times I was able to get through on the phone the service tech who answered said he could not help me because he was not "assigned" to our vehicle. Ewald needs to work on this for the future.

Had tie rod ends replaced and a front end alignment done. Picked up the truck after being told it was ready. Only to try to drive away with the truck pulling badly to the left. I am still in disbelief that someone test drove it and thought that it was acceptable. I returned the truck and it was repaired properly the second time. No excuse for the way I picked my truck up the first time...none

The techs were terrible trying to charge us for something that was a known warrantee issue. Then arguing with us about it saying that the warrantee only covered one specific cylinder glow plug and it wasn't the ones we needed. They were just trying to get us to foot an $800 bill. When we refused, they finally looked into it and low and behold - it was a manufacturer covered issue. The service rep Josh was absolutely terrible - no communication - we had to contact him multiple times to learn of information and he would return our calls. Unfortunately, they are the only Chevy dealership in town, so we have no choice to go to them for warrantee work, but if we had the choice we would stay far away from Ewald Chevrolet of Oconomowoc.

My wife and I came in to test drive a 2025 Blazer. The salesman (Brett) went out of his way to get us a vehicle as close as possible to the model/options we were interested in. After the test drive, Brett sat down with us for almost 2 hours, not only answering our questions but making valuable suggestions. When I asked about the engine options, he didn't try to explain all the benefits of the larger engine and upsell me on the 3.6L. I appreciated the honesty when he told me the 2.0 turbo would actually be perfect for my needs. After going through all of the available options, and us deciding exactly what we wanted, Ewald communicated with me daily to keep me updated on the status of when I could expect to take delivery. When we came in to pick up our Blazer, they educated us on touch screen, got On Star setup with us, and even set up the app on our phones for my wife and I. We were told to come back after a few days of driving if we wanted, to go over any further questions that may come up. Ewald definitely exceeded our expectations. We is no doubt that we'll come back the next time we need a vehicle. Thank you EWALD Chevrolet! You have a customer for life.

I had a battery problem which was diagnosed. Since the battery was under warranty elsewhere there was no problem declining to replace. Transmission cooling lines were leaking and suggested replacement. I wanted to see for myself which was no problem. Upon seeing the problem I authorized the repair. Repair was completed quickly. The only thing I was not satisfied with was I was promised a truck wash which was not done.

From Disappointment to Complete Satisfaction. Here it is in a nutshell, We scheduled service for new tires, battery, oil and filter, and an alignment on March 14. That date was scheduled two weeks in advance. After four hours our vehicle still wasn't on the rack because we assume the service director pushed us back, so frustrating. We only planned for a three-hour window so we had to leave. Our service advisor came to the rescue and scheduled our service in the next couple of days and provided a NEW 2025 Equinox loner for our use. He is our Hero, his name is Josh Reahm and should be commended for excellent customer satisfaction. While handing out Congrats, his partner, Jim Taylor is just as good. They make a Great team and Ewald should be proud.

The service advisor was friendly and attentive and I was expecting everything to go smoothly. My truck was in for an oil change. I requested the tire rotation not be done, as I just had new tires put on my truck. He asked me if I'd like my truck washed when it was finished and I gladly accepted. When I went to pick up my truck, I realized that my tires were rotated, my truck had not been washed, and there was a dent in my driver's side door two inches from the handle that was not there when I dropped the truck off. He apologized about the tire rotation and lack of the car wash. I had to return to the dealership to show them the dent and now I am awaiting next steps. This is not what I need to be dealing with in my already crazy busy schedule. Hoping things are made right.

Unfortunately the service staff hasn't been the best as of late. In the past they have been amazing. I always told everyone to go to Ewald for service. Since last July 2024, there have been as series of issues. Multiple times I've had oil hand prints smeared along the side panels, hood, door and door handles (both inside and out), oil all over the steering wheel. Staff doesn't update their service records properly. I've taken my truck in for a couple recalls and both times I was told it was done then later I was told it STILL needed to be done. The same thing happened on another vehicle that I own for a muffler gasket that was replaced but they don't track what they do apparently. I Don't trust at this point that service is being done correctly so I will not be returning to Ewald for any of my vehicles service. Both private and for my business. And I unfortunately wont be recommending them to anyone for service anymore either.

This call was for an airbag recall that has been ongoing with GM for nearly two years. My service manager was Josh Reahm. He is the ONLY service manager who ever listened to me at Ewald and did anything to get this repair completed. I complained to the management at Ewald numerous times in writing with no response. I will not buy another car from Ewald. This is a terrible dealership. Josh however actually cares and should be put in charge of the maintenance department at Ewald. He is the kind of employee that should be rewarded and acknowledged by GM.

We had oil changed and had to have one tire repaired because of leak. Found out that tire could not be repaired. After listening to explanation from Josh Reahm about the need for AWD cars to have the same amount of tread on all four tires we bought the four tires. I scheduled my service online for an oil, filter, and tire rotation a week in advance. While scheduling I left a message that the driver's side fog light trim was missing and I wanted it replaced. When I checked in at the dealership the service advisor had no clue about the missing trim even though my comments were written on the work order. Why bother writing messages when scheduling service on vehicles when they are never read. Also, the competition changes oil and filter in less than 10 minutes, I have never had that service from this dealership.

Everything went fine and I was treated very well by your staff. The only complaint I have is that the dashboard is so complicated. We are still having trouble figuring out how to use it. Chevrolet and or Ewald should have given us an instruction booklet which I knowChevrolet has because it’s on the Internet, but it is so hard to go through 270 pages looking for one item at a time. Very poor on Chevrolet and or Ewald Park not to give us an instruction booklet to properly. Enjoy this automobile.

The beginning of the visit was great, I was treated with courtesy and respect. Actually the whole visit was great, However when I got home I smelled burning oil, which after previous oil changes I had not. This is a 92000.00 car and I expected that the oil change would be professionally. like maybe clean all the dripped oil off of the engine. For a couple of days it smelled like an old used car. NOT HAPPY. I called my service person twice and left messages, as of today still no call back. May have to find a dealer that knows how to change the oil or maybe pennzoil. NOT A HAPPY CAMPER.

All's well that ends well... The service writer is very friendly, needs to concentrate on communicating better. I realize that this is a very busy shop and the writers are responsible for communicating with a lot of customers, however; following thru on communication promises is critical to me. Also, I had asked for a quote to be emailed to me to make decisions and authorize, but after verifying my email address with him twice, I never received the quote. After calling to request the quote for the second time, I ultimately ended up approving the work over the phone. I'm happy with the new tires on my Z06 Corvette, I expected a hefty bill, but I can't help to wonder if I over paid...

Nothing was wrong with the people or the perceived quality of the work on my vehicle. I arrived at 7:40-7:45 and left around 10:00a. Service work completed was an oil change and tire rotation; this was the first time I have waited more than an hour for an oil change on either this same vehicle or my daily driver at other dealerships. If over 2 hours is the normal for an oil change service at Ewald, I will likely go elsewhere in the future. Thanks!

Service and wait time was excellent but........the call to make the appointment was horrible. The lady I talked to (or tried to talk to) was extremely hard to understand. Tell me, is it really necessary to have these calls shipped overseas??? The service took less time than making the appointment (well almost). She told me that the time I wanted was NOT available then gave me the time I wanted in the first place. Then she put down that I was dropping the car off but in fact I told her I would be waiting for the car, Of course, this screws up the service timing in the shop.

My vehicle sat at the dealership for over 2 months waiting for authorization, parts, wrong parts were ordered while my vehicle sat. Lack of communication, service rep and service manager failed to return my calls. Every time I tried calling, straight to voicemail….. no response for days. I paid for free oil changes for the term of my lease but I doubt I bring it back to Ewald for anything anymore until it’s time to turn it in and finish my lease term. Very frustrating and unprofessional!

The service team was outstanding. They listened to my concerns. They listened to my needs. They communicated throughout the process. The only question I had which I raised with the service manager the day after my service was that Ewald Chevrolet charges a shop supplies fee of $39.88 to all of their customers. when asked why ….it was explained that every customer gets charged for that for paper for office supplies and handling fees for just running a business Which to me as a customer seems odd and not right I inquired with other Chevy dealers that I have been to, and they do not charge such a fee Needless to say, I will continue to use Ewald Chevrolet as my go to for service on my Chevy vehicles

Your service is always top notch and your staff is always polite. I had an appointment for an oil change at 8:00AM. I purposely made it early so I could be quick in and out. Best laid plans often go astray. My oil change wasn't complete until 10:00AM. Two hours for an oil change is exceptionally long by any standards. Your staff was very apologetic and I understand that "things happen". So chalk it up to a bad day??

Everyone there was very nice and pleasant. Work was done on time. One disappointment though. They did the inspection of all fluids and everything. One thing they did not do was do a break inspection. I paid $130 for an oil change on my Corvette you think That would include a brake inspection also. Very disappointed with that.

The dealership it self I have no issues with. There was one issue that I disagree with their findings and I will bring it up next time I am there. However the Chevy product itself is faulty, it is a know issue since at least November of 2024 when the TSB was released and Chevy still has not done anything about it. I purchased my vehicle because of the Adaptive Cruise control and the supercruise features and it does not function properly and sometimes not at all. a year later and the problem is not fixed? How could this be possible?? This is not only a feature issue but also a safety issue as the emergency braking and intersection braking will not function properly but GM is quick to tell you that you can't depend in it to begin with, so why even advertise it? To protect myself, I will be starting the process of a lemon law refund due to this. I have spoken to the service manager at the dealer, Jason, and he was as helpful as he could be and again, I do not fault the dealer or their team there. It now makes me question the camera system on the 2025 Tahoe we also purchased. I do see on multiple forums where people have been complaining about the same issue. I would really hate to have to lemon law $130k+ worth of new vehicles.

He asked if he could look at it while it was in for service that day. I also had to put my 12 year best friend down that same morning. His text to me was beyond an insult. Brought vehicle in for an oil change and to check what vibration and shuddering is when driving between 25-45 mph. Was told that the spark plugs were bad and needed to be replaced. $800+ later the problem still is going on. Was told that there should be a transmission flush for $1600 so I decided to get a second opinion on the shuddering and vibration. It is at another local shop recommending we take it to a transmission shop to address problems. Any thoughts on these vehicles having these issues and what to do? I just bought this car in July 2025 and only put 6000 miles on it.

I was very happy with the Alec, my service representative at Ewald Chevy in Oconomowoc, WI. He did a great job in assisting me in setting up the 30,000 maintenance on my 2023 Colorado. As for the service work? I believe that the majority of the service was performed adequately (I certainly hope so), but I'm honestly not sure. Why? Because the 2nd item listed on my $565.00 invoice, was "top off all fluids", which I assumed was done. Unfortunately, while driving 2 days later, I used my windshield washer fluid and immediately had a "fill wiper fluid" message appear on my dash. When home, I put an entire gallon of fluid in the reservoir, which tells me that the wiper fluid was never topped off. Now wiper fluid is no big deal except that - if they didn't perform that simple task, what else might they have skipped (and then charged me for)?

We had a pleasant experience with the “JE” team and others at Ewalt of Ocon. We have been looking through North Wisconsin, Madison, and Milwaukee area for a vehicle that would fit our needs. After checking with numerous dealers and types of vehicles I went to Ewalt of Ocon and was greeted by the first member of the “JE” team - “JE”nn (Cotteleer)- and she was willing to discuss what she could do with an existing offer that I already had. After numerous attempt of getting me into the system, (tech issue #1) her and I were able to drive a similar vehicle to one that I had an offer on from a competitor. After the second member of the JE” team - “JE”ff - I received a stocking stuffer Xmas present to seal the deal. “JE”nn was able to instruct my wife with a quick lesson the numerous tech offerings of our new Equinox which was greatly appreciated. We still could not get into our Chevy app (tech issue #2) but were reassured by Jenn it would get solved. All were very efficient to get us on our way and with assurances tech issues with chevy.com and Onstar would get figured out as we needed to get to our grandson's 🏀game tipoff an hour away. We got there, they won, and everything worked on our 2026 Equinox the next morning. Tech issues figured out again - thanks Nikki Lathrop 😃 Thanks again for all of your help and assistance. Jim Taylor was my service advisor for an oil change and tire rotation. I was greeted promptly and he performed the usual things checking in my vehicle. Jim mentioned that my key fob needed a new battery, and he was happy to do that, no charge. He also asked if I wanted a car wash, I I answered, yes, please. I waited in the comfortable waiting area, reading a book while the service was performed. I was happy to hear that everything checked out okay, and I was very pleased with the whole process from beginning to end.
